Glassbox Corporation
Glassbox delivers revolutionary troubleshooting
capabilities to the enterprise, providing plug-and-play software diagnosis
for mission-critical Java enterprise applications. The role of Glassbox
software is to diagnose the problem for the IT person, developer or support
representative and provide a detailed final verdict on a wide array of real
world problems.
We believe that IT experts and gurus, whether in-house or expensive
consultants, are rare and should be used more efficiently to solve your
business’ unique problems. The truth is that most problems relating
to enterprise computing are difficult and require considerable experience
and skills to resolve, but those hard problems are typically not unique to
any one particular business.
If an issue falls into the 90% of shared problems found across an
enterprise Java application, then software should be able to diagnose it
and your gurus should be able to focus on differentiating your business,
not just fixing it. Gurus are for the exotic, Glassbox is for keeping
enterprise servers humming everyday.
Team & History
Glassbox's founding team comprises experienced
technology entrepreneurs and executives, with proven track records in
founding and building successful software companies. With a collected
wealth of years spent in some of the most well respected organizations
in the computer industry, spanning networking, finance, high
performance computing and leading research laboratories, the Glassbox
team has personal familiarity with the real cost of resolving enterprise
IT problems.
This experience led the team to question whether there was a better way
to address the common troubleshooting failures around enterprise
applications and high performance computing. Founded in 2005 and based
in San Francisco, Glassbox’s first product is the
result of intense and continuing R&D to build revolutionary Java
troubleshooting capabilities from the ground up. With Glassbox, The
Solution is Clear™.
Market Overview
Traditional Application Performance Management (APM) is broken and the problem is only
getting worse as highly-integrated Enterprise Java applications proliferate. The tools either
lack depth or are information gathering devices for experts only. Currently:
- There is too much data.
- Few people can troubleshoot well.
- Communication snafus make a hard problem even harder and more expensive.
- Many enterprises experience similar problems.
- Existing APM tools were designed for the guru to troubleshoot the exotic problem, not to allow an average guy to run your core business.
